Welcome to The Doggy Paddle Company.
The health, safety, and welfare of all dogs and their owners are our highest priority. Please read the following information carefully before using our facilities.
By booking or using our services, you agree to comply with the terms of these policies.

Health & Safety Policy
🐾 All dogs must be in good health and free from contagious conditions, including fleas, worms, infectious diseases, or open wounds.
🐾 Dogs should ideally be fully vaccinated, unless a veterinary professional has advised otherwise.
🐾 Owners must inform us in advance of any medical conditions, injuries, behavioural issues, or special requirements.
🐾 Dogs must always remain under the control and supervision of their owner.
🐾 Please ensure your dog is cleaned before visiting us. Any dogs that are deemed too dirty will be refused entry to the pool.
🐾 Please ensure your dog’s claws are clipped short to help prevent punctures to the pool liner.
🐾 Please remember we are not a hydrotherapy pool and cannot offer any medical advice. Our sessions are for leisure purposes only.
🐾 We reserve the right to amend our session prices as and when we deem necessary.
🐾 We reserve the right to cancel any sessions with a full refund or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.
🐾 We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session if a dog is unwell, distressed, aggressive, or poses a risk to themselves, other dogs, people, or staff.
Dog Welfare
🐾 All sessions are designed to promote positive welfare, enrichment, and safe exercise.
🐾 Swim times are tailored to each dog’s age, fitness, and confidence level.
🐾 Rest breaks and access to fresh drinking water are provided.
🐾 Sessions may be stopped early if continuing would not be in the best interests of the dog’s welfare.
🐾 Please rinse your dog after swimming to remove chlorine and help prevent skin irritation.
🐾 Keep sessions controlled – do not allow your dog to overexert themselves.
Which Dogs Should NOT Swim (or need vet approval)
🐾 Dogs with serious heart or respiratory conditions
🐾 Dogs with open wounds, infections, or recent surgery
🐾 Dogs with severe arthritis pain flare-ups
🐾 Dogs prone to seizures (extra supervision required)
Dogs where precaution is advised
🐾 Flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds, such as Bulldogs and Pugs – these dogs can tire quickly and may struggle with breathing, so extra care is required.
🐾 Puppies (unless sessions are fully controlled and safe) – please ensure they are fully vaccinated before swimming.
🐾 Elderly dogs with severe mobility issues.
🐾 Dogs that panic in water (must be introduced slowly)
When in doubt → check with a vet first.
Owner Responsibility & Liability
🐾 Dogs use the swimming pool entirely at the owner’s own risk.
🐾 Owners remain legally responsible for their dog at all times under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 and all other relevant UK legislation.
🐾 The Doggy Paddle Company shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage unless caused by our negligence or a breach of statutory duty, as required under UK law.
🐾 Nothing in these policies excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Pool Hygiene & Biosecurity
🐾 Pool water is maintained and monitored to standards appropriate for canine use.
🐾 Owners must ensure their dogs are toileted before swimming.
🐾 Any fouling or illness during a session must be reported immediately to a member of staff.
🐾 We reserve the right to close the pool temporarily for hygiene or safety reasons.
Privacy Policy (UK GDPR)
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
🐾 We collect only the personal data necessary for bookings, customer communication, and legal compliance.
🐾 Personal data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.
🐾 You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds
🐾 All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
🐾 For late cancellations or non attendance we do not offer a refund.
Changes to These Policies
The Doggy Paddle Company reserves the right to amend these policies at any time. The most up-to-date version will always be available on our website.
